Linda is a GP in Alstonville. She graduated from the University of Newcastle in 1990 after being wrenched from Canberra where she grew up.
After an internship shared between Newcastle and Tamworth her passion for rural life and medicine was confirmed and she ‘wed and worked in the Tamworth area from 1990 until 2007. It was here she practised rural medicine with ED and obstetrics thrown in for good measure.
She had time off the frenetic pace in 1996 and again in 1998 for her two beautiful children and again in 2003 for a 6 month camping adventure around Australia with her husband Ross, 2 kids and a tent.
During this time brief stints in Nhulunbuy and with the Royal Flying Doctors Service in Cape York helped pay the bills and form lifelong memories.
In 2007 the family moved to a smaller, greener farm at Nashua where they grow pecans and run fat happy cows.
The north coast lifestyle has seen a definite change in pace. Linda however maintains her interests in obstetrics, antenatal care, rural and emergency medicine.
