About the Medical Education Team

Our award winning medical education team isn’t your usual crew of medical educators. Director of Training, Christine Ahern was awarded the GPET 2011 Medical Educator of the Year and Debbie Kors was the GPET 2010 Supervisor of the Year.

Recognised internationally and nationally in the fields of GP wellbeing, the arts and humanities in medicine, as well as being highly skilled and experienced clinicians and teachers.  Together, they ensure our registrars will experience an exciting array of learning experiences.

Our medical educators run all of our education events in each training node face to face so there’s plenty of interaction with them and your fellow registrars. Not only are they passionate about teaching, our educators are always on the lookout for different ways of delivering their educational sessions to make your learning fun and inspirational. Expect to enjoy learning again!

Dr Christine Ahern, GPET 2011 Medical Educator of the Year

"The holistic approach they take to training each and every registrar is unique. Not only do they provide you with an excellent education that is tailored to your specific needs, they also recognise that the general health and wellbeing of the registrar is paramount to becoming an excellent GP. And so at the end of a half day educational release you may well find yourself doing anything from a Tai Chi session, to writing a poem!" GP Registrar, Heidi Spillane
