Rob completed his medical degree and then Internship at Flinders Medical Centre in 1985. He left Adelaide to return closer to home on the Northern Rivers of New South Wales.

He bummed around and surfed for 6 months. This was an attempt to relive his adolescence which he had failed to negotiate properly at the appropriate time. After finally running out of money he returned to RMO work at Lismore Base Hospital for 2 years. He then spent ten years doing the right thing as an Associate and VMO in a general practice in Byron Bay.

Rob practices part-time with colleagues in Byron Bay as well as at the Southern Cross University Medical Clinic in Lismore.

He is also the GP Project Advisor for the Youth Health Project at the Northern Rivers General Practice Network.

He works part-time at NCGPT as a Medical Educator and is the GP Advisor to the OTD Support Towards Fellowship Project. Rob is immensely enjoying this work.
