The Location

Trips back to see family in Melbourne or Sydney are made easier thanks to the North Coast being serviced by excellent transport links.  Local airports include Ballina, Lismore, Grafton, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie and Coolangatta.

Here on the North Coast we are lucky to have strong relationships with both the Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie UNSW Rural Clinical Schools and the University Department of Rural Health (University of Sydney).  Many of our medical educators and Directors are also involved with the local GP Networks and Divisions, so there is strong support for our registrars from those organisations.  Excellent co-operation with the North Coast Area Health Service means we are able to deliver well supported procedural training posts in the base hospitals in our region.
