Tim was raised in a semi-rural setting just north of Brisbane, neither a country boy nor a city kid.

Like all good south-east queenslanders, he attended the University of Queensland which gave him a piece of paper in 1999 saying "BSc(HMS)" and another one in 2003 saying "MBBS."

He completed his residency in Queensland before fleeing to the safe haven of northern New South Wales where he completed his general practice training including an advanced rural skills post in Anaesthetics. Tim now works as a GP anaesthetist in the beautiful Nambucca Valley and is very satisfied with his work/life balance. Tim has taken on a medical education role as a constructive way of venting some of his enthusiasm for his craft.
